5th International Conference on Sustainable Construction and Design
From 20 to 21 February, 2013, the International Conference on Sustainable Construction and Design takes place in Ghent. This international event has now come to its fifth edition. Special attention is given to the interaction between
academic research (on a PhD or postdoctoral level) and industrial applications, aiming to create a platform where today's research developments meet tomorrow's end users.
The conference covers different aspects related to the mechanical failure of structures and machine components, with a focus on tribology and fatigue.
The scope is broad: contributions in the fields of design, measurement and assessment are welcome.
Two parallel sessions are divided into four different tracks:
Tribology
Challenges in wear monitoring and modeling
Tribology of advanced materials
Tribology in extreme conditions
Tribology in the Low Countries (Tribologie der Lage Landen)
|
Fatigue
Fatigue in offshore applications
Application of high strength steel in fatigue conditions
Assessment of defects
Fatigue proof design
